Thanks in large to the media coverage of the memorialization process of Staro Sajmiste and the important role the Museum of Genocide Victims plays in it, visits and calls to the Museum have been more frequent. Each guest has been welcomed and sent off appropriately. We have heard many pleas, suggestions and have received a lot of support for our activities and mission.
Today we have been visited by Mr Vladimir Kern, who lives between Belgrade and Nuremberg. He has expressed a desire to help prepare the future educational centre in Staro Sajmiste and promised to finance the server for a computer system which would be used by the future visitors who wish to find out more about the former concentration camp for Jews, Serbs, Roma and other opponents of the Nazi occupation 1941-1944.
Veljko Djuric Misina expressed the gratitude for the donation on behalf of the Museum and presented the guest with the graphic ‘Tower at Sajmiste’ by esteemed artist Milenko Mihajlovic.
