The Episcope of Slavonia and the President of the Managing Board of the Museum of the Genocide Victims, Mr. Jovan Ćulibrk, and historian Bojan Đokić, Expert Associate of the Museum, participated at the Second International Conference Medicine in the Holocaust and Beyond. This multidisciplinary conference was held from 7 to 11 May 2017 in several places in the Western Galilee, Israel.
Thanks to the organizers of the conference (Professor Shmuel Reis of Bar-Ilan University, Faculty of Medicine in Galilee and Dr. Miriam Offer of the Holocaust Studies Program at the Westest Galilee College in Akko, Israel), the conference brought together about 100 participants from various fields.
Bojan Đokić delivered a lecture entitled Suffering of Jewish Health Workers During the Second World War in Yugoslavia, while Bishop Jovan gave a lecture titled Jewish Medical Workers: From Participants in the Yugoslav Resistance to Historiographers of the Holocaust.
