Study visits of former Concentration Camps from World War I and World War II are also one of the program activities of the Museum. Hence, we have visited Auschwitz last year (14th of May 2018).
A year later, on 19th of May, we have started our study visit of Germany and Austria. First and foremost, we have scheduled visit to the Dachau Memorial (near Munich) where Dr. Andrea Riedle from Dachau Memorial Research Center and expert guide met with us and gave us a lecture and a tour around Memorial.
Second day in Munich was reserved for the visit to Munich Documentation Center.
Next day we have visited military cemetery from World War I in Aschach, near Linz in Austria. After that, we have arrived at Memorial complex of the former Concentration camp from World War II, Mauthausen.
On the fourth and last day we have toured cemetery in Nezsider (Neusiedl am See) where we visited cemetery monument erected to commemorate fallen soldiers of Kingdome of Serbia. From Nezsider we went to Sopron, with intent to visit local cemetery and its monument as well. However, there was no monument!
